Julie said, “It was wonderful to see the homes and families of people I have got to know well in Cardiff. NAID is doing valuable work in helping children and families affected by extreme poverty. We were also very concerned to see the affect of climate change in Bangladesh, the flooding and waterlogged fields”.

One of the purposes of the visit was also to continue to forge links between Bangladesh and Wales. The delegates visited the Speaker at the parliament and met members of parliament in Sylhet and Moulavi Bazaar.

Anwar Ali, Chief Executive of NAID said, “I am grateful that Julie Morgan, MP for Cardiff North and Julian Phillips, Wales’ Consul to Finland support and visit to Bangladesh to see NAID’s projects and activities. NAID will continue to work together for the benefit of all communities nationally and internationally and make many dreams come true.
