Visit To IUBAT

Mr Anwar Ali, MBA visiting fellow of the IUBAT and Chief Executive of Nationwide Association for Integrated Development (NAID) visited International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) on November 28, 2006. The visit is a part of continuing collaboration between IUBAT and NAID for sustained development of the degree program in Tourism and Hospitality program at IUBAT.

A reception was hosted in honor of the delegate in the evening. Among others, the Course Adviser and Coordinator of College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) Prof. M. Aman Ullah were present. Mr Ali have been well informed about the students graduated in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management from IUBAT from the inception of our collaboration. He expressed his happiness seeing the performance of the students and added that within a short time the students will be capable to secure the existing vacant posts in the catering and hospitality industries of U.K, Asia, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and U.A.E including Bangladesh. He also said that BATHM students from IUBAT who have been engaged in professional life in the sector of catering and tourism management in UK are skillfully contributing to the sector.

Earlier he has visited the well-equipped and renovated laboratory of Tourism and Hospitality Management of IUBAT. He is also happy to know that the students graduated in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management from IUBAT are also working in different national and international hotels in different countries.

In her presidential speech Pro-VC Prof. Mahmuda Khanum expressed her gratitude to the visitor and pointed out that the collaboration between IUBAT and NAID will be magnified in future. She also pointed that IUBAT is the first university among government and non-government universities in Bangladesh who have been building quality manpower through internationally standardized education in the filed of tourism and hospitality management for Bangladeshi and international markets.
