Trees For A Better Future – Phase 2 – 18,500 Trees

As of 6th July 2023 NAID has successfully planted and distributed 29,500 trees to schools across Osmani Nagar Upazila. In 2024 NAID will plant another 5,500 trees and will complete its pledged commitment of 35,000 trees.

NAID would like to urge schools and colleges across Bangladesh to continue its vital work they do in teaching children the responsibility for nurturing and maintaining trees. NAID’s main aim for Trees For A Better Future was to instil a sense of environmental responsibility to children and NAID is delighted to see this taking place across Osmani Nagar and wider Bangladesh.

6ই জুলাই 2023 পর্যন্ত NAID সফলভাবে ওসমানী নগর উপজেলার স্কুলে 29,500টি গাছ রোপণ ও বিতরণ করেছে। 2024 সালে NAID আরও 5,500 গাছ রোপণ করবে এবং 35,000 গাছের প্রতিশ্রুতি সম্পন্ন করবে।

NAID সারা বাংলাদেশে স্কুল এবং কলেজগুলিকে তাদের গাছের লালন ও রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের দায়িত্ব শিশুদের শেখানোর গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কাজ চালিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য অনুরোধ করতে চায়। NAID-এর ট্রিস ফর এ বেটার ফিউচারের মূল লক্ষ্য ছিল শিশুদের প্রতি পরিবেশগত দায়িত্ববোধ জাগানো এবং NAID ওসমানী নগর এবং বৃহত্তর বাংলাদেশ জুড়ে এটি ঘটতে দেখে আনন্দিত।

Feed The Fasting – Ramadan 2023

On 18th March 2023, with your help NAID was able to provide 105 poor and vulnerable families across Sylhet, Bangladesh with healthy and nutritious meals for the month of Ramadan 2023.

With your generous donations you provided those in need with meals to look forward to, from Suhoor in the morning to Iftar in the evening. Each Ramadan food pack included a range of essential staple items such as rice, dates, lentils, chickpeas, oil, salt etc.

Inauguration Ceremony – Trees For A Better future & Remote Medical Aid

On 18th July 2022 NAID hosted the Inauguration Ceremony of two projects in Bangladesh. The projects are:

Trees For A Better Future & Remote Medical Aid.

NAID has distributed 11,000 trees of the 35,000 trees promised to the students of 110 schools of Tajpur Union, Osmaninagar Upazila, Sylhet.

Remote Medical Aid will be provided to in the villages of Tajpur Union. With the aim to provide quality medical aid to the doorsteps of people who are deprived of medical services in remote areas, in Tajpur, Sylhet.

Honorable Minister of Education of Bangladesh Ministry of Education Dr. Dipu Moni. Resident Judge Julian F W Philips, IAC UK And Honorary Consul For Finland, Former MP of Sylhet 2 Constituency Mr. Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury and current Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board Mr. Saiful Alam Chowdhury Nadel attended the event. The ceremony was conducted by Anwar Ali, Founder & Chief Executive of NAID.

During Ramadan 2022, NAID was able to aid in reducing hunger among the poor and vulnerable families in Sylhet, Bangladesh!
On 17th April 2022, with your help NAID was able to provide another 100 (two week) food packs for the poor and vulnerable families across Sylhet, Bangladesh with healthy and nutritious meals for the month of Ramadan 2022. The total food packs provided is 225, well over the original target of 100 food packs!

With your generous donations you provided those in need with meals to look forward to, from Suhoor in the morning to Iftar in the evening. Each Ramadan food pack included a range of essential staple items such as rice, dates, lentils, chickpeas, oil, salt etc.

With your help NAID was able to provide another 112 poor and vulnerable families across Sylhet, Bangladesh with healthy and nutritious meals for the month of Ramadan 2021. The total food packs provided is 212, well over the original target of 100 food packs!

Medical Camp & Circumcision – Hamton Pur, Osamani Nagar, Sylhet

NAID and the Rotary Club of Jalalabad, Sylhet, held a two day clinical services. NAID’s, Deputy Executive, Ana Miah and NAID’s Bangladesh Advisor Abdullah Al Moshoud (Fouad), along with several Rotarians of the Rotary Club of Jalalabad were present. At Hampton Pur, Osmani Nagar, NAID provided medical help to poverty stricken people, circumcision clinics, Child & Mother Care clinics and medical camps. Also Dr M S Rahman and his medical team provide a voluntarily service to the community, they were helped by NAID’s resources and materials.

Links Between Wales & Bangladesh Strengthened

Julie Morgan, MP for Cardiff North, and Julian Phillips, Wales’ Consul to Finland enjoyed a purposeful visit to Bangladesh with Anwar Ali of NAID, Cardiff.

The purpose of the visit was to support the charity organisation NAID “Nationwide Association for Integrated Development” which operates in Wales and in Bangladesh and which was founded by Cardiff residents Anwar Ali, Dilwar Ali and Ana Miah. The charity supports orphan children, also sponsors primary to higher education students in Bangladesh. NAID has various projects such as medical camps, supplies, tube well and cows, goats, rickshaws for income generating scheme and also warm blankets, clothing to cope with the climate change in Bangladesh due to global warming.

The delegation visited Dhaka, Moulavi Bazaar, Kulaura, and Sylhet, which is the home area of most people from Bangladesh who live in South Wales.

Julie said, “It was wonderful to see the homes and families of people I have got to know well in Cardiff. NAID is doing valuable work in helping children and families affected by extreme poverty. We were also very concerned to see the affect of climate change in Bangladesh, the flooding and waterlogged fields”.

One of the purposes of the visit was also to continue to forge links between Bangladesh and Wales. The delegates visited the Speaker at the parliament and met members of parliament in Sylhet and Moulavi Bazaar.

Julian Phillips added, “I’m delighted to visit Bangladesh again, as this is my 2nd visit and I am looking forward for the 3rd visit to support NAID’s work in Bangladesh”.
