Minister & MP Congratulate Adult ESOL Learners In Cardiff

The Minister for Educations, Skills, Apprenticeships and Consumer Affairs, Kevin Brennan MP for Cardiff West and Julie Morgan MP, for Cardiff North congratulated a class of adults learning English in Riverside, Cardiff and they presented the students with their certificates.

The training classes run by NAID – “Nationwide Association for Integrated Development” charitable organisation at they centre to improve the ESOL (English skills of speakers of other languages) with Citizenship materials the students attend from all over South Wales.

Minister, Kevin Brennan MP said:
“I have regularly supported the ESOL classes as they provide an excellent service in helping people from other countries settle in this country,” said Kevin Brennan, MP for Cardiff West.

“This is extremely important as it allows people to be able to talk to people like doctors or teachers and receive help and advice. “I always enjoying visiting the ESOL classes and handing out certificates to local people in Cardiff West as they have worked very hard and deserve to be rewarded for their achievement. “I was delighted to congratulate the class and I thoroughly enjoyed talking to them about their experience attending ESOL classes.”

Julie Morgan MP added:
“It was a great privilege to see the good work that is being done by NAID in Bangladesh by supporting children in orphanages and primary to higher education and by helping with income generation for the poorest people. I was able to present a rickshaw for an elderly lady to rent out, a cow and a goat and many blankets to cope with the effects of climate change. I am pleased to support the strong links between Bangladesh and Wales and to help present the certificates to English learners organised in Cardiff by NAID.”

Anwar Ali, Chief Executive of NAID said:
“I am delighted that The Minister for Educations, Skills, Apprenticeships and Consumer Affairs, Kevin Brennan MP attended this ESOL awards ceremony and joined Julie Morgan MP for Cardiff North in presenting the certificates to candidates. I would like to congratulate all candidates on their success and all guests, who have attended. Special thanks to Julie Morgan MP and Julian Phillips for their support and visiting Bangladesh with me to see NAID activities. NAID will continue to work together for the benefit of all communities nationally and internationally.
