Visit To IUBAT

Mr Anwar Ali, MBA visiting fellow of the IUBAT and Chief Executive of Nationwide Association for Integrated Development (NAID) visited International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) on November 28, 2006. The visit is a part of continuing collaboration between IUBAT and NAID for sustained development of the degree program in Tourism and Hospitality program at IUBAT.

A reception was hosted in honor of the delegate in the evening. Among others, the Course Adviser and Coordinator of College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) Prof. M. Aman Ullah were present. Mr Ali have been well informed about the students graduated in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management from IUBAT from the inception of our collaboration. He expressed his happiness seeing the performance of the students and added that within a short time the students will be capable to secure the existing vacant posts in the catering and hospitality industries of U.K, Asia, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and U.A.E including Bangladesh. He also said that BATHM students from IUBAT who have been engaged in professional life in the sector of catering and tourism management in UK are skillfully contributing to the sector.

Earlier he has visited the well-equipped and renovated laboratory of Tourism and Hospitality Management of IUBAT. He is also happy to know that the students graduated in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management from IUBAT are also working in different national and international hotels in different countries.

In her presidential speech Pro-VC Prof. Mahmuda Khanum expressed her gratitude to the visitor and pointed out that the collaboration between IUBAT and NAID will be magnified in future. She also pointed that IUBAT is the first university among government and non-government universities in Bangladesh who have been building quality manpower through internationally standardized education in the filed of tourism and hospitality management for Bangladeshi and international markets.

Tony Rayer of Sceptre Services Limited, Cardiff said, “I have known Mr Ali for a number of years and noticed an article in the South Wales Echo on the 21st November 2006, about Barclays and NAID’s (Nationwide Association for Integrated Development) appeal for orphan sponsorships. I am delighted to support NAID, by donating £200 to sponsor a child in Bangladesh for a year. This is a great opportunity to help make a real and lasting difference internationally, by supporting at a very local & national level. We expect to continue working with NAID for many years to come.”

NAID Helps Build A Education Centre

Anwar Ali and Ana Miah visited Madrasha – E- Amdadul Uloom (Kaboasthan) Mogra Kanda, Savar, Dhaka and local community requested to NAID built new building for young childrens for education centre with and Madrasha, so local children’s can have their education in a safe, clean environment. The NAID have agreed to support the project and have completed the building as shown above right.

Donation To Help Support An Orphan!

Echo reader Robert Wiseman has given £180 to help make a difference to an orphan’s life. Food Hygiene & HACCP Course

NAID continually, provides training to caterers of all communities in South Wales. This course is in high demand, and it benefits, all those in the catering industry. HACCP and Food Hygiene Certificate are distributed by Ana Miah, Deputy Executive of NAID.

Orphanage Project of NAID

The children of the orphanage in Bangladesh were given proper educational classes, food, clothes, medical needs.

Cow Fattening Pilot Project

Cow fattening is a nucleus of a pilot project of NAID. The photograph shows that a poor rickshaw puller is receiving a cow from NAID’s personnel.

NAID Organises Medical Camps

At Osmaninagar, Sylhet, Bangladesh to offer medical help to the victims of the post flood havoc suffering with dysentery, diarrhoea, influenza and various kinds of skin diseases. Including  (the medicine supplier and the professional who helped in the diagnosis of the diseases)

First Inauguration Of Fund Raising

The Rt Hon. Rhodri Morgan AM, First Minister of The National Assembly for Wales, inaugurated the first fund raising occasion of NAID – Nationwide Association For Integrated Development.
