Fund Raising & Qurbani Distrubtion Appeal Live on Bangla Tv, Sky 786

NAID initiated a live fundraising programme on 24th November 2008,which appealed to the communities of the United Kingdom. During the live television appeal, there was an exposure of NAID’s activities, aims and past achievements. The Qurbani appeal was made at Bangla Tv, Sky Channel 786, and received donations from the community members throughtout UK, to distribute to the poor, less fortunate people in Sylhet, Savar, Moulovi Bazar, Kulaura, and Guainghat, in Bangladesh.The above pictures show Qurbani meat distribution at Guainghat, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Kulaura, Habiganj, and Savar on December 2008.

Signing Ceremony – Memorandum of Understanding

Ahsania Mohila Mission (Orphanage)’s conference hall. Mr Anwar Ali and Ms Nurun Nahar Abed signed on their respective areas of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and so far NAID has sponsored nine orphans of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Orphanage. Two of those orphans have now gone on to higher education – Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at IUBAT – International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. NAID will provide all expenses & maintenance to continue the education. In the ceremony the speakers congratulated NAID for their activities in Bangladesh, UK effort and well wished NAID, so that they can keep continuing their activities in a successful way. The speakers also invited others to work like NAID and help NAID to continue their activities. Appeal for Orphan Sponsorships

NAID is an acronym and stands for “Nationwide Association for Integrated Development” Charity No: 1104093 and has been given a major boost thanks to a £2000 donation from Barclays. The money will be used to fund the production of 50,000 leaflets promoting the work of the charity. The distribution and postages cost are supported by Joynur Travel, izzitech.com and Eurolinen Services.
Richard Crew, Local Business Manager said, “ At Barclays we are committed to looking after local communities and we are delighted to support NAID (Nationwide Association for Integrated Development). This is a great opportunity for us to help make a real and lasting difference by supporting a broad range of causes at a very local level.”
The funds come from Barclays Community Investment Programme, which in 2005 donated £39.1 million, or 1% of UK pre-tax profits.
